Over the years my portraiture has been aimed at the costuming community, whether it be: Sci-Fi, fantasy, medieval, comic book, pin-up, military, period, film, or the like. I really enjoy photographing people while dressed in an alter ego. Their personality seems to take on the character they are portraying, and they always seem very comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
However, I enjoy photographing people in general. My ultimate goal, in my portraiture, is to define the individual, and reflect their personality visually.

On-location portrait photo session
My portrait work tends to be a little different than most. Some have called my portrait work “dramatic.” I tend to cast aside the standard backdrops and utilize the environment to play into the personality of the subject. I’m not big on posing my subjects, but rather, I direct my subjects as a film director would direct his actors. The results are always more natural, and the smiles are always genuine. Most of my subjects are very unique, and I aim to give them unique work every time I get behind the lens.
- Length of session: I don’t like to stick to a time frame for my sessions. In general, I like to provide my clients with a minimum of 30-40 touched-up print proofs. This could take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Whatever it takes to provide my clients with only the best quality photography.
- My sessions are shot with artificial, as well as natural light.
- Private online gallery for viewing, sharing and purchasing.
- A $150.00 credit towards prints/merchandise.
- Session pricing is based on (1) subject. Please add $10.00 for each additional subject to the session cost.
Session Cost: $250.00
- A non-refundable retainer, of $100.00, is required to book the on-location portrait session.
- The remaining $150.00 balance is due on the day of your session.
- For destinations over 40 miles from Melrose, Massachusetts – 02176, travel costs may apply.

Studio portrait photo session
In the studio I tend to use a lot of solid back drops so as not to pull the eyes away from the subject and onto a busy background. I love shooting with dramatic lighting scenarios against a black background, and even a high key, bright white backdrop. The backdrop depends greatly on the clients personality, the mood of the session, and the subject matter. All of this is discussed before booking a studio session.
